Welcome to 2010 here at Community Bible Church. We are excited about how God has led us to this year and the great plans He has for us as we continue to grow in knowing and loving Jesus Christ as we live out our part in the Unfolding Story.

61 years ago a church was planted out of the E free church in Woodbridge.  51 years ago it was able to stand up on its’ own and now we participate together in what it has become so many years later.  As you read through this page, you will see that we aim to be authentic, energetic, and strong in loving God and loving others.  Our key verse to guide us and show us it is possible is one of the simplest yet most profound verses in the Bible.

When asked what the most important commandment was, Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”  (Matthew 22:37-39 nlt)  When we love God the most, we will find all other activities, priorities and passions taking their proper place in our lives, and our lives will HONOR God.  HONORing God is always the best long term decision.  And so we look forward to all the time ahead that God will give us until Christ returns, and may we use the next year (and 50 years if God gives it to us) to pursue our mission of REACHing people for Christ and CONNECTing them to others who HONOR God with their lives and BUILD themselves up to SERVE Him as we live out our part in the Unfolding Story.

  HONORING GOD:

The Story began a long time ago, with a glorious, bright and pure God, who
created a glorious, pure creation. It is this God who created YOU and revealed Himself to us in  Jesus Christ  - whom we honor. Our part of the Story should show the full importance of our
incredible God in the way we love Him and consequently in the way we love others.

CONNECTING WITH OTHERS:

The Story includes our relationship with others. We want to be good at loving God, but also good at loving each other. Your story will intersect with many others, and in those relationships You can find much of God’s great plan
for Your life.

SERVING GOD:

Because He loves us, we can love him by serving others around us and through the church.

 BUILDING OURSELVES UP:

The good news is, wherever we are, we can all take a step forward. Not one of us has arrived at the end of THE Story yet, so we continue to seek opportunities to grow, to know the
author of the story in deeper ways, and to have him form our character to be like Jesus.

REACHING OTHERS FOR CHRIST:

To initiate opportunities to reach those around you for Christ, we are inviting you this year to pray for three (3) others who do not know Christ yet.  Pray for people you know. Pray for them by name. as you pray, and then intersect in their story, allow god to use you to BE A BLESSING TO THEM, AND LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS OF God’s Story!
